Is a workshop like this really necessary?<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

No, what's needed is air to breathe. A workshop is definitely a good idea!<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I cannot speak for workshops in general or for individual workshop providers here, because everyone has their own experience and approach.<\/p>

In this blog post, I will discuss my views and refer to the courses I offer!<\/p>

Of course, there are many books, videos, and tutorials on bondage and Shibari. You can find everything online, read up on it, and then try it out. But just like in a cooking or dance class, you learn faster and better when you're shown properly! You can ask your questions right away, get an immediate answer, and receive tips and tricks as well!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Safety comes first<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Now many of you will be asking:<\/p>

One of the most important points \u2014 in fact, the most important point \u2014 is safety!<\/p>

Why worry about safety? I just want to tie up my partner!<\/p>

Since our bodies are very sensitive to external influences, anyone who uses restraints should know exactly what they're doing. It starts with the right knots, which shouldn't come undone or tighten unexpectedly. Then there's the rope handling. How should the ropes be positioned to avoid accidentally injuring the other person? Where do you need to be careful of nerves and blood vessels? What about the numerous joints? These questions, and many more, should be answered in a workshop!<\/p>

The ultimate discipline, and often the highlight of any bondage session, is suspension (hanging bondage), where the bound person hangs suspended only by ropes! Everyone can imagine the strain this puts on the body and the potential dangers involved! I really don't want to discourage anyone, because suspension bondage is a fantastic experience that everyone who enjoys being tied up should try. However, only engage in suspension if you are absolutely certain that your partner knows exactly what they are doing! And to everyone tying another person, always remember that a bound person is completely at your mercy, and you alone bear full responsibility!<\/p>

Even with the best preparation and the best knowledge, things can sometimes go wrong. It's always important to be prepared for such an eventuality \u2013 which of course no one wants \u2013 in order to react as quickly as possible.<\/p>

I think we've all realized that a workshop is really worthwhile when it comes to safety. After all, bondage should be fun and not end with a trip to the doctor!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Furthermore, in a beginner's workshop, one should also have the opportunity to learn about the different types of rope and their advantages and disadvantages, in order to gain an insight into which ropes one might later purchase for oneself!<\/p>

After all that speech, or rather novel, about safety, I certainly don't want to discourage you from working with ropes!<\/p>

(Quite the contrary, otherwise I would never have created the page)<\/p>

I generally offer workshops for couples or for two people, as this allows for much faster and better learning than so-called group workshops with ten people or more!<\/p>
