Care tips for your ropes

wash, cut, lay

(wrong, someone else does that ^^)

A new bondage rope is like new leather shoes! They look good, are reasonably comfortable to wear, but somehow something is still missing!

Exactly! Only over time does the shoe fit perfectly, the leather becomes softer and the wearing comfort becomes better and better. And that's because you wear your shoes and occasionally grease and clean them.

The same goes for our ropes! New ropes are nice, soft and feel good.

I always say: A bondage rope is made step by step

First in the rope factory, then during the finishing and in the end it's up to you!

With sweat, body fat and the occasional drop of oil or wax, a rope becomes your rope. You will notice how it becomes even softer, smoother and more fun to run! You should let your ropes slide through your hands a few times after use so that it can relax and avoid twisting. Occasionally or after repeated use, it makes sense to oil the rope and thus supply it with nutrients. Thus it retains its suppleness and does not get too dry. Put a few drops of oil on a lint-free cloth, pull the rope through and a few minutes later wipe off any excess oil with a clean cloth.

Then let your rope rest for a few days!

Under no circumstances use too much oil so that it can be completely absorbed. Pay attention to the choice of oil and do not use cooking oil, because sooner or later it will go rancid and smell very unpleasant! One reads more often about jojoba oil, beeswax, camellia oil, gun oil, baby oil, saddle or leather oil and others! I don't want to judge what is best or worst of it here.

My recommendation for you is a natural oil with or without a smell or my Rope Care Cream with a high wax content. Many do not know, but jojoba oil is actually one of the waxes.

If ropes get dirty, you have to clean them! A damp cloth and a little soapy water are best. Then dry the ropes under tension for several days.

Hemp ropes can also be washed properly or even boiled if necessary!

Jute rope should not see water, as the fibers can be damaged and the load-bearing capacity suffers. When the ropes had to be washed shouldn't be used for hanging bondage anymore!

Occasionally check your ropes for damage and the tightness of the knots.

Conclusion:

(Be kind to your rope and take care of it like your shoes!)

Let the rope relax after use, oil it occasionally and you will enjoy it for a long time.

Of course, a rope doesn't last forever and should be replaced depending on the frequency and intensity of use.
