The flax ropes are dyed as whole ropes, including the knots, using high-quality textile dye. The fibres are largely, but not completely, dyed through. Careful dye fixation helps reduce colour bleeding later on.
A damp cloth is usually enough for regular cleaning. If washing is needed, gentle hand washing is recommended. Avoid using a washing machine, as it can damage the rope structure. Let the ropes dry under tension, then treat them again with suitable rope care oil or wax.
