Description

Flax rope 3 mm Klassik

The 3 mm Klassik flax rope is pleasantly soft and supple, with an even texture. It is free of knots along its length, has no noticeable odour and sheds very few fibres. The three-strand flax rope has been washed, worked to soften the fibres, singed and then oiled by us. Its natural colour is light grey. The ends are finished with simple overhand knots.

3 mm ropes are not intended for standard bondage ties. They are used for intricate decorative work and for ties involving hair or the face.

Safety instructions

Instructions for using linen-hemp and jute bondage ropes (3–6 mm)

Important instructions for use:
1. Diameter and use:

  • 3 mm and 4 mm: Not suitable for suspension bondage. For lighter applications such as decoration or gentle ties.
  • 5 mm and 6 mm: Suitable for suspension bondage when used correctly. Depending on the application, ropes should be used with at least 4 strands, preferably 6 or 8. Dyed ropes have a reduced load capacity.
  1. Care and cleaning:
  • Cleaning: It is best not to wash the ropes. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth and dry under tension.
  • Disinfection: Possible in an oven at approximately 90°C for 10 minutes. Treat carefully afterwards.
  1. Aftercare:
  • After cleaning or flame treatment, treat the ropes with suitable oils, such as jojoba oil, or waxes, such as berry wax or beeswax, to preserve flexibility and service life.
  1. Safety instructions:
  • Inspect ropes for wear, tears or other damage before use.
  • Damaged ropes are no longer safe and must be replaced.

Additional information:

  • Always use the rope with expertise and care, especially for suspension bondage.
  • Store the ropes in a dry place away from light to prevent material fatigue.
  • The rope is a natural product and is subject to natural variations in diameter and durability.
